Epoxy Flooring Madison Mississippi

Before and After garage flooring, when DIY goes wrong. As a do it myselfer, I understand more than most the drive to want to do everything yourself. And I do agree that most things can be done DIY if you have the time and patience to learn a skill. However task like cutting down trees, roofing and garage flooring should be left to the professionals. The main reasons are that all kits sold at the box store are water based just like a regular paint and don’t hold up. And you actually do need a large industrial grinder to properly prepare the slab. The customers home we are featuring in this blog post actually looked good from an install stand point. He followed the directions to a T, and went above and beyond most and rented a grinder from the box store to prep the floor. Unfortunately the grinders rented at the box store do not have enough weight to open up the slab and even if they did the tooling wears down so fast that you end up with the same results. As you will see from the photos the floor still had the original stain that had not been properly ground off. Which in turn did not allow the box store epoxy to bond correctly. We ended up grinding off two layers of flooring and the concrete cap left by the finishers when the slab is poured. We applied our favorite epoxy flake blend Stonehenge with an extra thick top coat. This floor will now last a lifetime and is easily cleaned with a broom, blower or hose.
